Applications are welcomed from Indian nationals coming from scheduled categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD (VH, OH, HH)) under special recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Professor in the Departments of Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Cognitive Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Design, Earth Sciences, Economic Sciences, Electrical Engineering, and Social Sciences, employment Management Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics, Space, Planetary & Astronomical Sciences & Engineering (SPASE), Sustainable Energy Engineering, and Kotak School of Sustainability.

Several Departments likewise take part in the teaching and research activities of interdisciplinary post-graduate programs in the institute in Photonics Science and Engineering and Materials Science Program. Other details:

1. The pay brings all other allowances as permissible to a Central Civil servant stationed at Kanpur.

2. The benefits, such as LTC, employment medical re-imbursement, transport allowance, children education allowance, employment contribution towards New Pension System (NPS), re-imbursement of telephone bills, book grants, HRA (if real estate not supplied), research initiation grant (as much as Rs 25 lakhs with the provision to make an application for an extra grant) and financial backing towards national and international conferences shall be permitted based on the Institute norms.

3. From its internal resources, the Institute supplies an extra top-up salary of Rs 25,000/- monthly for the very first three years of service to the newly signed up with faculty members. After three years of service, the professors member(s) are qualified for factor to consider for employment Young Faculty Fellowship (open for faculty of age upto 40 years) supplying a top-up income of Rs.15,000/- monthly for three years, and/or Faculty Chair positions offering a top-up income of Rs 25,000/- per month for three years. 8. The Institute follows the reservation in direct recruitment based on the arrangements of the Central Educational Institutes (Reservation in Teachers’ Cadre) Act, 2019. 12. Applicants who are employed in Government or Semi-Government Organizations will be needed to produce a “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” from their employer at the time of the interview.
